M&A in Australasia - 2025 Q3

Q3 has seen five new deals announced in Australasia, four of of which were in Australia and one was in Timor-Leste. The visible transaction value for these three deals was about US $172.9 million. We also saw the the collapse of the proposed takeover deal for Santos.

The running deal count for 2025 is 15 deals, with a total deal value of US $251 million. By comparison, by Q3 of 2024 we had seen 11 transactions and a total deal value of US $1,623 million, dominated by JERA's acquisition of a stake in Scarborough.
